クリスタル・アルモニカとは

クリスタル・アルモニカは、「グラス・ハーモニカ」「グラス・アルモニカ」「アルモニカ」などの名称でも呼ばれていて、ベンジャミン・フランクリンによって発明されました。アメリカ・フィンケンバイナー社製のアルモニカは鉛を含まず、純粋なクォーツ・クリスタルで作られているため、Chihoは「クリスタル・アルモニカ」と呼んでいます。（99%以上の純石英＝水晶でできています。）

Chihoのアルモニカは32個のクォーツ・クリスタル・ボウルでできています。

Chiho's Armonica consists of 32 Qartz Crystal bowls. The bowls are cupped together by the holes in their center through which  a metal rod runs . The rod is attached to a wheel which is turned by an electric motor (some people use hands or  a foot pedal as in 18th century). While the bowls are spinning, the musician wets their fingers and places them on the bowls edge. This friction creates a beautiful crystal sound similar to the tones created  when rubbing  the edges wine glasses. The bowls are tuned in a chromatic scale and the sharps are indicated by a  gold lustered edge.
